The CO2 feeder is a mixing device that mixes the CO2 gas with water in an efficient way, so little CO2 gas is outgassed into the atmosphere after the CO2 water mixture leaves the feeder. CO2 is the easiest gas to dissolve in water, followed by argon, oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen, based on the calculations of Henry's Law.

Carbon dioxide (CO2 is a natural, non-corrosive gas that can be used as a substitute for other acids (such as Muriatic acid, HCl ) in chemical treatment of spas, saunas, and swimming pools. When CO2 dissolves in water, it forms carbonic acid (H2CO3), a weak acid that can lower the pH of water and neutralize liquid chlorine.

CO2 is available in standard pressurized gas cylinders.
