Connections
Most of the connections on the acniti website for the turbiti are specified as R or RC connections. R or RC connections are conical (taper) pipe threaded connections. According to the inch taper pipe threads (standards BS 21, EN 10226-1, ISO 7-1, DIN 2999). Other common names for the R are BSPT or previously PT in Japan.
R connections refer to an external male threaded fitting, and the RC connections refer to an internal female threaded fitting. For PVC/Plastic fittings, they are commonly referred to as DN or A fittings, denoted by a metric designation; the most common sizes are listed in the table below.
Rp inch sealed cylindrical internal thread and Rs inch sealed cylindrical external thread are parallel-shaped fittings. NPT fittings and G fittings are different types of fittings and are not compatible with R fittings; therefore, an adapter fitting is required.
