Connections
Most of the connections on the acniti website for the turbiti are specified as R or RC connections. R or RC connections are conical (taper) pipe threaded connections. According to the inch taper pipe threads (standards BS 21, EN 10226-1, ISO 7-1, DIN 2999). Other common names for the R are BSPT or previously PT in Japan.
R connections refer to an external male threaded fitting and the RC connections refer to an internal female threaded fitting. For PVC / Plastic fittings they could be refered to as DN or A fittings with a metric denomination most common sizes you can find in the table below.
Rp inch sealed cylindrical internal thread and Rs inch sealed cylindrical external thread, are parrel shapped fittings. NPT fitting and G fittings are different fittings and not compatible with the R fittings and the require an adapter fitting.
