Ozone Check valve

  • Purpose: A check valve, often referred to as a one-way valve or non-return valve, is designed to allow the flow of ozone gas or liquid in one direction only while preventing it from flowing in the opposite direction.
  • Function: In an ozone system, the check valve ensures that ozone gas or liquid flows in the intended direction, preventing backflow or reverse flow. This is important to maintain the integrity of the ozone system and prevent contamination or damage to equipment.
  • Use: Check valves are commonly used in ozone systems to prevent the unintentional backflow of ozone gas or liquid into the ozone generator, ozone destructor or other parts of the system, which could lead to safety concerns and system malfunction.

In summary, the key difference between an ozone check valve and an ozone vacuum break is their primary function and use. A check valve is used to control the flow direction of ozone within an ozone system, while a vacuum break is employed to protect water supply systems from contamination due to backflow. Each serves a specific purpose in maintaining the integrity and safety of the system it is used in.

It's required to put the one-way gas check valve at maximum 30 cm from the gas inlet of the ozone nanobubble generator. The one-way gas check valve avoids water getting into the gas hose and protects the ozone generator. Please make sure the one-way gas valve is installed correctly with the arrow pointing towards the ultrafine bubble generator as the gas must flow into that direction. The ozone gas check valve is made from stainless steel 316L and has a Viton seal, both of these materials are ozone resistant.
