LB-480 has a urethane Semi Vortex Impeller and elastomer lined pump casing for maximum wear life. The benefit of a vortex impeller over a channel impeller is the minimized risk of clogging. The vortex impeller creates a revolving mass of water which forms a whirlpool. A whirlpool is a funnel shaped opening is created downward from the water surface. It can be developed by water flowing out of a small opening in the bottom of a basin, a reservoir or by a pump. Impellers creating this Vortex are called vortex impellers. The benefit of a vortex impeller over a channel impeller is the minimized risk of clogging. A Vortex impeller is also a better choice when the pumped liquid has a high content of sand. The efficiency of a pump with a vortex impeller is typically lower than a pump with a channel impeller.

Photo 2. Remove the handle and the water outlet with a 13 mm socket wrench or normal 13 mm wrench.
Photo 3. In the submersible kit supplied by Acniti you will find a threaded water outlet, which needs to be assembled with the same nuts as originally on the pump. Secondly pull the power cord through the hole in the metal plate and mount the metal plate with the supplied nut bolt and washers.

After installation test the pump in swallow water and check if no water is coming out of the bottom or top of the bolt holes, if this is the case revise the mounting and trouble shoot your installation work.
